The Tirumala Joint Executive Officer Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju today inspected the store room (Ugranam) near Srivari Temple where raw materials for Annaprasadam are kept to explore possibilities for expansion of the Srivari Potu.
After the inspection along with Chief Engineer Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy the JEO told on directions of the EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal a proposal to replace the old Ugranam building on the south Mada street with a modern store room on the West Mada street side near the Swami thirthakatta was being considered. This would help in easy movement of stock of dal flour needed in preparation of laddu boondi to the laddu boondi making unit.
He said such a move would in addition to the space for larger potu inside Srivari temple would facilitate increase of more laddus to meet devotee demands.
He said the VGO office would also be modernized into a major security complex.
Earlier the JEO inspected the arrangements in the queue lines in view of the devotee rush from Tamil Nadu on October 14 the Peritasi Saturday and directed officials to streamline queues, provide Annaprasadams and also drinking water in the queue lines.
