The Tumburu Theertha Mukkoti will be observed in Tirumala with religious fervour on March 31st. Tumburu Theertham is a holy waterfall, which is located at 7.5 miles to the north of Lord Venkateswara Temple.
Among the 66 crore holy water falls located in the green belt of Seshachalam Ranges which also houses the world famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara, seven are considered to be most sacred which includes Swamy Pushkarini, Tumburu Teertham, Chakra Teertham, Gogarbham, Papavinasanam, Akasa Ganga and Ramakrishna Teertham.
It can be reached by 7 Kms walk from Papa Vinasanam & Kalyani Dam point through stony path. Generally the route is open to public every year on Palguna Poornima in the month of March. There are about five waterfalls on the way to this place.
