Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy offered prayers in the world renowned Hindu shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Tuesday. Accompanied by his family, Palaniswami took part in the ‘Astadala Paadapadmaradhan’ ritual conducted for the presiding deity at the sanctum sanctorum this morning.
Earlier on his arrival, he was welcomed by TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal and Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju. Later he was offered Vedasirvachanam in Ranganayakula Mandapam by vedic pandits. The TTD officials offered him Theertha Prasadams and lamination photo of Lord Venkateswara.
During his stay, Palaniswami also called on Naidu at the TTD guest house, the official said, adding it was a courtesy call.
