Tollywood Veteran actor and MAA President Rajendra Prasad has condemned the phenomenon of drug culture prevailing in Tollywood saying it is unacceptable and must not be allowed to continue. Rajendra Prasad has visited Tirumala today and he had the darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy during the VIP Break darshan. Speaking to media persons outside Tirumala temple, he requested Tollywood celebrities, directors, technicians and other daily workers not to consume drugs. None of the Senior actors have such addiction. Only few young actors were getting addicted to drugs after failing to reach the position they always wanted to be in.
Rajendra Prasad revealed that because of 15 members in Tollywood, over 30000 have been getting bad name. He warned that the drug consumption can shatter their families along with their lives. Actors must entertain their fans instead of getting addicted to drugs.
Celebrities who received notices from Telangana Excise Department in connection with the Drug Racket Case are 1) Raviteja, 2) Navdeep, 3) Tarun, 4) Tanish, 5) Nandu, 6) Charmee, 7) Mumaith Khan, 8) Puri Jagannath, 9) Cameraman Shyam K Naidu, 10) Art Director Chinna, 11) Subbaraju, 12) Srinivasa Rao. All of them who were issued notices seems to be in touch with the Drug Racket Kingpin Calvin.
