Sri Malayappa Swamy blessed devotees in bewitching Mohini alankaram on a decorated palanquin on the fifth day of ongoing Navartri Brahmotsavams.
Contrary to daily routine of vahana seva during Covid environment at Kalyana Mandapam, the grand and richly decorated palanquins were paraded from Ranganayakula mandapam to Kalyana mandapam inside the Srivari temple Due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Legends say that the Lord’s appearance as bejeweled and charming Mohini threw the demons (Asura) in confusion and brought victory for Devatas in the celestial battle. The objective of the Mohini Avatara also indicates that the entire universe is spell bound under the Mystic Moha and Maya and that Sri Venkateshwara is the kingpin and key architect of this high drama in the universe.
In other words, through Mohini Avatara, the Lord cautioned his devotees not to fall prey to worldly pleasures and come out of that “Maya” to pursue righteous deeds.
