The monthly “Dial Your EO” program was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, where in the pilgrims directly shared their views and suggestions with TTD Executive Officer, Sri Anil Kumar Singhal. Answering the pilgrim callers from different parts of the country during the programme, the TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal said, TTD has not cancelled the privilege darshan for aged and differently able pilgrims but only has not released the additional quota owing to summer rush in Tirumala for the months of May and June.
Answering the callers Sri Tata Rao from Vizag and Sri Aiyyappa from Guntur, EO said the normal quota of 1400 tickets which is issued every day in two slots with 700 in each slot for aged and physically challenged pilgrims will be issued as usual except for Friday where there is only slot. In addition to that TTD has been issuing 4000 tickets to this category pilgrims on any two lean days since August last. This additional quota is cancelled for the month of May and June as there is heavy summer vacation rush in Tirumala”, the EO elaborated.
ENSURE PROPER DUSTING
Another pilgrim caller Sri Manohar from Tirupati brought to the notice of EO that proper dusting has not been done from the past many days in Annamacharya Kalayamandiram (AKM) and also in Mahati Auditorium. He also said, earlier the prasadam from Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple used to be distributed to the deovtees in AKM which has now stopped from the past one year. Reacting to this caller, the EO said he will ensure proper regular dusting and cleaning by instructing the concerned and also revive the distribution of prasadam.
GIVE UPDATED INFORMATION IN SAPTHAGIRI
A caller Sri Haribabu from Vijayawada sought EO to give updates on the developmental activities of TTD like introduction of Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) counters, on PACs, Luggage counters etc. in Tirumala and Tirupati for better information of pilgrim public in TTD-run Sapthagiri devotional magazine, for which the EO welcomed the suggestion.
SOFT SKILLS TO CALL CENTRE STAFFS
Callers Sri Ramamurthy from Khammam and Sri Kumar from Chittoor suggested EO to train the call centre employees of TTD on soft communication skills while they interact with the pilgrims. The EO said the concerned will be instructed to give proper training to the call centre staff on how to deal with the pilgrims.
KEEP THE BATHROOMS TIDY IN TIRUCHANOOR
Another caller Smt Padma from Chirala sought to ensure cleanliness in bathrooms at Tiruchanoor for which the EO said it will be immediately taken up.
MAKE ANNOUNCEMENTS ON NOT TO WASTE ANNAPRASADAMS
A caller Sri Krishnamurthy from Chittoor advised EO to make announcements at main Annaprasadam Complex and other food distribution places on not to waste food as many pilgrims are wasting the food. The EO said awareness will be created among pilgrims as well to Srivari Seva volunteers on not to waste the food while serving to pilgrims.
RETHINK ON FLY TRAPS IN SRIVARI TEMPLE
A pilgrim caller Sri Kalyana Srinivas from Hyderabad informed the EO to rethink on keeping fly traps at some points in Srivari temple to avoid the menace of flies. Replying the caller EO said, the possibility of his suggestion will be looked into.
ELECTRONIC DIP IS A TRANSPARENT SYSTEM
Callers Sri Tulsiram from Miryalaguda, Sri Krishnamurthy from Bengaluru, Sri Sekhar from Nellore, Sri Viswanatha Sarma from Hyderabad, Smt Ramadevi from Narasapuram raised queries on Electronic dip system for which the EO answered that the allotment of arjitha seva tickets in on-line is a transparent system being operated successfully by TTD.
