AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday presented ‘silk vastrams’ to the temple of Lord Venkateswara on behalf of the State government. The customary presentation was done in connection with the annual Brahmotsavams.
After a brief function at Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple where the priests formally placed the ‘Parivattam’ (sacred cloth head band), Jagan proceeded towards the main temple in a procession.
Later, he handed over the vastrams to the chief priest inside the sanctum sanctorum.
The vastrams will be adorned to the deity on September 20, during the auspicious Garuda Seva.
