On the evening of the Day-4 of the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsvam, on Monday, Sri Malayappaswamy rode on Sarvabhupala vahan in Utti Krishnudu alankaram and blessed devotees. The vahana is placed at the Kayanotsava mandapam of Srivari Mandapam in view of Covid-19 restrictions.
Hindu mythology said Sarvabhoopala vahana displayed Sri Venkateswara as an almighty who totally controlled the Dikpalakas and elements of earth, water and air.
The objective is highlight the omnipotence and might of Sri Venkateshwara and control of the Dikpalas. Legends say that Lord Malayappaa was overload of – Indra (East), Agni (south-east), Yama (god of death on the South), Niruti (North – East), Varuna on (West), Vayu (south-west) and Kubera (god of wealth on North) and Parameswara on (North-west).
