Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams on Tuesday approved the annual budget for 2019-20, projecting an estimated revenue of Rs 3,116 crore.
TTD Chairman Putta Srinivasa Yadav said that cash offerings by devotees at the temple ‘hundi’ is projected for Rs 1,231 crore while interest on investments in various nationalised banks is estimated to fetch Rs 845 crore. TTD expects Rs 100 crore from the sale of hair offered by devotees. The sale of Rs 300 special entry ‘darshan’ is expected to fetch a minimum of Rs 235 crore for the financial year.
On the expenditure side, TTD will spend Rs 625 crore on salaries to the permanent and outsourcing employees. TTD will spend 541 crores for buying kitchen ingredients and 265 crores for Pension. The board will take up various engineering works with an estimated cost of about Rs 400 crore.
Sudhakar Yadav, chairman of TTD, ordered vigilance officers to register a case against the locals who agitated infront of Annamaiah Bhavan.
