The TTD-run Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham observed its 126th Convocation in peetham premises on Friday.
Speaking on this occasion the Principal of the peetham Sri KSS Avadhani said, established in 1884, this institution has given to the country many stalwarts in vedas and sanskrit. “Today we have 575 students in 17 vedic courses and 54 faculties. The students are shining in all the courses and 78 of them were selected today for the convocation. The students excelled in Rigvedam, Krishna Yajurvedam, Sukla Yajurvedam, Sama Vedam etc.
Another interesting thing this year is many of them were selected for TTD vedaparayanamdar scheme also. Some others got placements as Vedic pundits in Rajasthan, Mysore, Srungeri etc. Vedic centres”, he added.
