ప్రపంచ ప్రసిద్ధిగాంచిన తెలుగు వాగ్గేయకార చక్రవర్తి శ్రీత్యాగరాజస్వామివారి 250వ జయంతి మహోత్సవాన్ని టిటిడి హిందూ ధర్మప్రచార పరిషత్‌, ఎస్వీ సంగీత, నృత్య కళాశాల సంయుక్త ఆధ్వర్యంలో మే 1వ తేదీ సోమవారం తిరుమలలో ఘనంగా నిర్వహించనున్నారు.
తిరుమలలోని పాపవినాశనం రోడ్డులో గల కల్యాణ వేదికపై సాయంత్రం 6.00 గంటలకు ఈ కార్యక్రమం ప్రారంభం కానుంది. ధర్మప్రచారంలో భాగంగా ప్రముఖ వాగ్గేయకారుల జయంతి, వర్ధంతి మహోత్సవాలను తితిదే నిర్వహించడం ఆనవాయితీగా వస్తోంది. ఈ క్రమంలో ఐదేళ్లుగా తిరుమలలో త్యాగరాజస్వామి జయంతి ఉత్సవాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో దక్షిణాదిలోని ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌, తెలంగాణ, తమిళనాడు, కర్ణాటక, కేరళ రాష్ట్రాలకు చెందిన కళాకారులు పాల్గొని శ్రీ త్యాగరాజస్వామివారి పంచరత్న కృతులు, ఉత్సవ సంప్రదాయ కీర్తనలు, దివ్యనామ సంకీర్తనలను ఆలపిస్తారు. ప్రముఖ సంగీత విద్వాంసులతో పాటు ఎస్వీ సంగీత కళాశాల అధ్యాపకులు, విద్యార్థులు, కళాకారులు, భజన బృందాల సభ్యులు పాల్గొంటారు.
శ్రీ త్యాగరాజస్వామివారు 1767వ సంవత్సరంలో జన్మించారు. వీరి వంశీయులు ప్రకాశం జిల్లా కాకర్ల గ్రామానికి చెందినవారు. యుక్త వయసులో త్యాగయ్య భక్తి, జ్ఞాన, వైరాగ్యాలకు సంతోషించిన నారద మహర్షి స్వయంగా స్వరార్ణవం అనే సంగీత గ్రంథాన్ని ఇచ్చి ఆశీర్వదించినట్టు పురాణాల ద్వారా తెలుస్తోంది. సంగీత జగద్గురువుగా వినుతికెక్కిన త్యాగయ్య దాదాపు 180 సంవత్సరాల క్రితం తిరువయ్యార్‌ నుంచి తిరుమల క్షేత్రానికి విచ్చేసి శ్రీవారిని దర్శించుకున్నారు. ఈయన భారత, భాగవత, రామాయణ కావ్య సారాంశాలను ఔపోసన పట్టి తన మధుర సంగీత, సాహిత్య రసాభావంతో తత్త్వ, భక్తి, వేదాంత, దార్శనిక, శాంతి విషయాలను సమగ్రంగా తన కృతుల ద్వారా లోకానికి తెలియజేశారు. అందుకే త్యాగయ్య కృతులను ”త్యాగ బ్రహ్మోపనిషత్తులు” అంటారు. ఈయన 1847వ సంవత్సరంలో పరమపదించారు. ఇంతటి గొప్ప చరిత్ర గల త్యాగయ్య వర్ధంతి ఆరాధనోత్సవాలను తిరువయ్యారులో ప్రతి ఏటా పుష్యబహుళ పంచమినాడు వైభవంగా నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఇదేతరహాలో త్యాగయ్య జయంతి ఉత్సవాలను తితిదే ఘనంగా నిర్వహిస్తోంది.
