Kollywood veteran actor and AILDMK Chief T. Rajendar on Friday visisted Tirumala shrine and offered his prayers to Lord Venkateswara. Rajendar participated in the Nijapada darshanam and received blessings. He said that he prayed to god for the success of Simbu-Nayantara’s movie Sarasudu which is slated to hit the screens on September 15th. After prayers, Rajendar was presented with ‘laddu’ prasadam, holy water at Ranganayakula Mandapam by temple priests.
Speaking to mediapersons outside the temple, TR said he was pained beyond words with the suicide of 17-year-old Anitha. Many students are away from medicine because of the NEET exam and I am not in favor of this exam from the beginning. Politicians in Tamilnadu are only worried about their seats. I think Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are also entering the politics for the seats not for public service, I can not comment on their entry.
Dalit girl Anitha who was the face of the fight against NEET, took her life on Friday after failing to get an admission in a medical college. The girl from Ariyalur had secured 1176 out of 1200 in her board examination but she secured just 86 out of 700 in NEET which is why she didn’t get the medical seat.
